Labor Day weekend is in the rear view mirror. Summer is unofficially over, school has started. It’s September, which doubles as Hunger Action Month.
We’re in the thick of it, of course, working with hunger relief organizations and their supporters planning their fall food drives. We just kicked off the Feeding America + #GiveHealthy pilot program (more on that in a few weeks) and we’re mapping out some exciting events and activities that will take place over the next couple of months.
We’re continuing our work supporting Hurricane Harvey relief and will be making a few special announcements soon about some other cool things we’re working on!
As we all adjust from the slower pace of summer to the, at times, frenetic pace of fall, please take a few minutes to support hunger relief – organize a food drive, volunteer, start a petition, donate money, talk about how it can be in the history’s richest country hunger is a problem with your family and friends. Point out to them that Hunger is a Health issue – and think about that for a minute yourself. In other words, TAKE ACTION! There’s no time like the present!
